Summer Art Camp - Clay
All the amazing things we did with clay this week!
stop motion animation with clay figures (children helped with the whole process, making the figures, taking the pictures, etc, I will see if I can upload the videos to the google photos album - they're super cute)
created small clay pieces that were given texture and painted, then added to the continuous group circular piece
explored clay - texture, adding objects and recycled materials
created forms with air dry clay - people, animals, shapes, beads, pinch pots, then painted these works
clay painting - on paper and on the glass in the studio. Learned about artist Richard Long who does site specific installations painting with clay, using his hands. Mary came in to photograph this day but I'm not sure where those images are
covered tiny boxes in air dry clay and played around with color and texture of the clay
