Open Play and Classes
What is Open Play?
Our Mondays, Fridays and weekends are made up of 90 or 60 minute play periods we like to call Open Play. These parent/caregiver accompaniment sessions held in our carefully curated space are designed to provide endless opportunities for creating, growing, and learning alongside your child. Our open-ended materials, sensory experiences, and interactive stations make it easy to support a milieu of developmental benchmarks through play and art making.
How do the classes work?
If you’re interested in sprinkling some additional magic on top of your open play experience, then book a “classes + open play” period and enjoy one of our dynamic offerings with a variety of specialists. Choose from music, theater, cooking and nutrition, or movement. According to which class you choose, these extra special programs led by skilled, local experts and educators, occur during the first 20-25 minutes of your open play period. Children and grownups gather on the rug or at the tables for a guided experience, after which you’ll all flow into play time. Whichever play period you sign up for, we’ve set up a space for children and families to feel accepted, valued, and free to play as they wish in a purposeful, collaborative learning environment.
